ABRIL

Este mes he hecho un poquito de todo. Necesitaba despejar la mesa del salón y encontre un mueble,

algo básico, pero que conunos toques, ha quedado fenomenal.

Una baldita más sería necesaria... Rober, please.

...Y además, unas cajitas para guardar las telas. Unas de pino sencillitas y un poco de pintura chalky y perfectas!

 DESPUÉS!

Voilá, ya tengo todo organizado (aunque se puede mejorar)

A finales de Marzo, el 31, fue elcumple de  Anita y me pareció que esta bandolera, diseño de Francesca Ogliari sería perfecta para ella.

Tuve algunos problemas con el patrón, pero finalmente quedó bien.

Y también hemos aprendido una nueva técnica. El bargello. en principio iba a ser un camino de mesa, pero creo que con algún toque mas, acabará en la pared del salón. 

Y por último, y recién salidos del horno, estos relojes vintage. Han gustado muchísimo y me han encargado varios. 

Así que una cosa llevó a la otra y tengo amigos que me animan y me ayudan un montón y estamos montando una web que tendrá una tienda online. No se cuando estará lista, pero creo que no tardará mucho en ver la luz.

FEBRERO Y MARZO

Bien, por dónde empezar? Febrero y Marzo han sido dos meses muy intensos. 

No especialmente productivos, pero si muy emocionantes.

Vayamos por partes:

El 14 de Febrero, cumplió 1 añito el pequeño Joaquín, que es el bombón de la familia. Y le hice un robotín, diseño de Anni Downs. Es una monada, como el chiquitín.

Well, February and March were very intense. Not particularly productive but emotional.
The 14th of February was little Joaquin's first birthday. He's de new family's toy. I made a little robot, designed by Anni Downs. It's so cute, as our baby.

El 25, fue mi cumple y el regalo de Rober era el viaje a la feria de Patchwork de Sitges. 

He soñado durante meses con ir allí y la verdad es que me ha encantado. Fuimos 12 locatis. y la mayoría nos hicimos un bolso de la peña Broches. ;o). 

El mismo diseño, pero cada una con sus telas. Eso es lo bonito, que cada una da su toque a los trabajos y siempre parecen únicos.

The 25th of February was my birthday and Robert's present was the trip to Sitges. I was My wish come true. We went 12 "patch mads" and the majority of us made a "broches team bag".
Same design but each one made with different fabrics. This is the best advantage of patchwork, each work is different, exclusive and cute.

En el mío coloqué un bolsillo interior.

 Y una de las cosas que me traje de la feria fue esta funda para la Thermomix, regalo de mis amigas de la urba. El kit es de El patchwork de la Graci. Esa gallina me volvió loca !

I got one of my bitrthday presents, on behalf of my friends this cover for the Thermomix. It is available in El Patchwork de la Graci. It's a hen and hens going me mad! I couldn't avoid to take it.

Y por último, y aprovechando el viaje de vuelta de Sitges, hice esta camiseta para Gabriel, un campeón al que le gustan mucho los trenes y que ha cumplido 4 añazos!

And finally I took advantage of the coming back trip to make this tshirt for Gabriel. A little boy who is already 4, WOW!

Y ahora va un mini reportaje fotografico de los dos días que estuve con mis compis y profes en Sitges. Por cierto, precioso lugar. No lo conocía. Me encantó y eso que el tiempo no acompañó mucho. 

Lo pasamos en grande. Nos reímos mucho, vimos exposiciones espectaculares, y compramos muchas cositas. Además nos alojamos en el hotel de las estrellas, donde coincidimos con Quilt House y Mimi's Cottage. Que grande eres, Seve. Muchísimas gracias!

Salimos tempranito, a las 7.30 de Atocha. Imaginaos el madrugón. Pero que felices!

And now, here you have a little graphic reportage regarding Sitges fair. Just two days but very intense. Also the city is amazing. Very recomendable. We stayed at stars hotel because we coincide with Quilt House, Mimi's Cottage, ... Seve booked hotel and train. Seve, Thank you, you are the best!

We left Madrid very early. At 7.30. We got up very early, but happy!!

Y las carpas. Cuantos estands, cuantos trabajos nuevos, ideas, botones, cintas, puntillas, ... que barbaridad!. Hasta me he llevado un par de suelas de alpargatas para hacerme unas!

Y lo mejor, la compañía. Chicas, que bien lo he pasado, sois fantásticas. Que buen recuerdo me llevo. Tenemos que repetir!

And finally into the marquees. Many stands, many ideas, many new pending tasks. I need someone to give me a guarantee of a long live, because I will need a very long time to do everything that I want

Pero hay que volver a casa. Un poco cansada, pero muy satisfecha y contenta.

ENERO

Empecé Enero con las pilas cargadísimas. Tanto, que me animé a hacer un Dear Jane... Madre mía!

Ahí van los seis primeros bloques.

I started January full of energy, and I started to make a Dear Jane quilt, OMG! You can see below the first six blocks of the total a hundred and sixty nine yhat I have to make.

Por fin, me decidí a hacer la bolsa de pan de la que compré el kit en Creativa tres meses atrás. La verdad es que le tengo un poco de ma´nía al festón, pero le da un toque precioso a la aplicación.

Finally I started to make the bread bag that I got in Creativa fair three months ago. It's gorgeous!

Mi compañera Susana me pidió un neceser pequñito para que su princesa mas pequeña pudiese guardar las horquillas cuando va a sus clases de baile.

Por supuesto, me lancé a por la muñequita de Gorjuss y aunque no estaba muy convencida por los tonos tan fuertes, le gusto mucho. few!

Susana asked me for a small toilet bag for her youngest daughter, just to put her hair pins in. I chose  a Gorjuss fabric (girls love it). And she really liked it.

Tanto que me encargó otro grande y a otra compañera también le gustó y al final hice dos. Les bordé los nombres y les han encantado!

In fact she liked it so much that she asked me for a big one. :o). Also another mate saw it and asked me for another one. So I made two pretty toilet bags for two pretty princesses.

Mientras tanto, me puse de acuerdo con mi profe Yolanda y mi compi Elvira para hacer la muñeca Emily de Quil House. Le prometí a mi pequeña Victoria que se la haría, así que acepté el reto y cumplí. AhoraVictoria duerme con ella tooodas las noches... y yo tan horgullosa

Meanwhile I agreed with my sewing teacher Yolanda and my mate Elvira to make the doll Emily by Quilt House. I promised Victoria I would make it. It was good fun to make it and Victoria is very happy. She sleeps with Emily every night. .

Y también a la abuela le surgio la necesidad de un bolsito pequeño para poder llevar su agendita.

Se me ocurrió hacer el modelo de Anni Downs (hacía tiempo que no hacía nada de ella). Y adapté el dibujo un poco a como es ella: Pelo rizado, la postura de los piés... muy divertido. Inconfundible, ese bolso no se puede perder.

 Granny needed a new bag to put her notebook in and Ii occurred to me to make a small one specially for her. And with her featured on it. I remembered an Anni Downs design. I got it and edited it  and this is the result.



Y por supuesto, también hubo cumples. Adrián, el jugón de 7 añazos al que le gusta PacMan

And for sure, birthday presents. In January was Adrian's birthday. 7 years old, wow ! He's a Pacman maniac!

DICIEMBRE

Hacía mucho que no actualizaba el blog y tengo un montón de cosas que contar y mostrar.

Para empezar, la colcha que le hice a mi madre por su cumple. Esa era la sorpresa, pero no podía publicarla porque ella chusmea de vez en cuando el blog y se iba a descubrir mi sorpresa.

Finalmente, el 6 de Noviembre se la dimos, le encantó, estuvo expuesta en Broches, todo un honor y ademas la presenté en el 1er encuentro de patchwork que se celebró en Villalaba.

 

It's been a long time since my last post. I have many things to tell and show you.

First of all my mom's quilt. We gave it to her on the 6th of November, and then it was in Broches shop window (an honour!) and I took it to the first patchwork event that took place in Villalba.

Ese fin de semana lo celebramos con la familia y le hicimos una tarta de tres chocolates. Mmmm que rica!!

 

That weekend we celebrated the birthday at home with the family. And we cooked a three chocolate cake. Mmmm delicious!

También recibí algunos encarguitos. Los llaveros casita. Son todo un éxito, pero cada vez me cuesta mas hacerlos distintos.

 

I also received a few orders. Small house key rings.

Y por fin!!!! La estrella, mi opera prima. El sampler que comence en Septiembre del año pasado. Lo tengo puesto ene el sofá y es muuy calentito.

 

And finally, my wish come true. My sampler finished. that one I started in September a year ago.

I put it on the sofa. It looks really amazing... and warm and cosy

En Noviembre estuve en otro curso con Rosa Rojas, la creadora del apliquick. La verdad es que me encantó. Es una técnica muy práctica. Para mi, desde luego hay un anates y un después a la hora de aplicar.

Además como siempre, lo pasamos de maravilla, comimos fenomenal, ... la verdad es que disfruto muchísimos cuando voy a los monográficos.

 

In November I went on a new course with Rosa Rojas who invented the apliquick technique and tools.

We had fun , as always, ate  a delicious meal as well

 

 

Y lo mas increíble, aprendimos realmente a hacer una miniatura como la que se muestra en l siguiente foto... Impresionante!

 

And the most important thing. We learnt how to make a miniature. I'm still impressed because I never thought I could do something like this.

 

 

Ene el encuentro de Patchwork, nosotras un poco rebeldes, quedamos para hacer un cuello de punto que mi compi Elvira nos había enseñado, diciendonos que era sencillo. Y realmente lo es. lleva muchos puntos, pero es sencillo y que da realmente bonito. Este ha sido el regalo de Marta en su 21 cumpleaños. Felicidades!

 

In the patchwork event we met up with my patch mate Elvira, she will teach us how to make a neck scarf. It looks as it's very difficult to make but it isn't. So we started, ... end we finished, and this is the result. It's very warm and a beautiful present for Marta who is 21. Happy birthday!!

 

El Domingo que acbaba el cuello, mi amiga Montiña, me ofreció la posibilidad de participar en un mercadillo de artesanos. Y claro, yo me tenté enseguida, sin tener en cuenta que no tengo tiempo ni para hacer mis cosas, pero no obstante me lie la manta a la cabeza, que me encanta y me pasé las dos semanas siguientes haciendo flores. Mis pequeños me ayudaron un montón.

 

When I was finishing the scarf, I got a call from Montsiña saying that the 20th of December a small handycrafts street market it would take place and if I would like to share a little stand with her.

So I sayd, of course! Why not! We can try! but I didn't think about I would have no time to do anything.  

 Anyway my kids helpe my a lot, and I could make many flowers

 

También saqué tiempo para hacer decoraciones para el arbol de Navidad, algun monedero y hasta un arbolito de Navidad

 

And also a little Xmas stuff like tree decorations and a small Xmas tree. 

Also few wallets like this.

 

Y el Sábado 20 de Diciembre estábamos en nuestro pequeño puesto. Lo pasamos muy bien. Fue toda una experiencia.

 

And Saturday the 20th, ther we went. My daughter Victoria wanted to join us in our adventure. She is a star.

 

Un poco antes del mercadillo me habían encargado algunos llaveritos mas. Que éxito!!

 

Also before the handycrafts market I received my last key rings order.

 Y colorín colorado, el mes de Diciembre y el año 2014 se han acabado. Esos sí, el 3 de enero es el cumple de mi prima Inma y ayer en mi clase de patch, vi un llavero que Adriana ha hecho. Me encantó y por supuesto lo he copieteado. 

And that's all, folks. The month and the year are ending. Just the latest birthday present for my cousin Inma next January the 3rd. It is a new key ring that I saw in my patch class. Adriana is a very creative woman.

 



 

Falta personalizarlo y ponerle algún detalle. Que os parece?

A ver si algún día me llega la inspiración y empiezo a tener yo mis propias ideas.

Pero bueno, eso será mi primer deseo para el 2015.
